Their first show in December 1991 at the Miamisburg
High School talent show nearly resulted in a riot when Country music loving
football players began pelting the band with loose change, halfway into their
first song. Lead singer Steven then made a few
comments on how the band would "take them on" while Dennis
grabbed his crotch in their general direction. Once the band started throwing
water back at the crowd the lights came up and the first gig was cut very short.
No injuries.
Tod Weidner left in Spring of '92 and is not on the band's only studio recording, but his songwriting contributions are notable on songs such as "Fear of God".
The band plays under the name "FREAKSTROBE" for the first time on Aug. 6 '92. Kevin Parret quits Sept. 12 '92 after a particularly drunken performance at the "SCORCHED EARTH POLICY"' Band Playoff celebration. Steve Lewis from "S.E.P" fills in on drums for 1 show on Oct. 3 '92.
Fall of '92 the band auditions future drummer for "THE MYSTERY ADDICTS", Bryan Labonte but it doesn't work out. Eventually Matt Lynn joins on drums in early November. Play 2 shows with Matt on drums including final performance Dec. 31 1992 at a hall in Huber Heights w/ "SCORCHED EARTH POLICY" & "HOLDEN #9". The band makes it through 2 1/2 songs before conceding to the fact that they're too drunk to play.
This short
lived combo although only playing a handful of shows (14) was to splinter off
into many notable Dayton bands.

had only one release during their career, an 8 song cassette entitled "Angst

ALTERNATIVE PRESS REVIEW - Elements of Mother Love Bone, the New York Dolls and the Dogs D'Amour are successfully blended into a guitar-oriented mixture (Don't fear the word "guitar"; they're not another wanna-be Seattle outfit). With insightful lyrics, "Chameleon" and "Paisley Trip" are psychedelic-tinged, not overdosed, rock. - LAURA BALDWIN, Dayton OH

Think it's just another Go-Go's reunion 19.
